A Veteran 1970-1973
I have read an overview of the book. There are quotes in it from the Winter Soldier testimony. Which turned out to be bogus for the most part. Mr. Kerry's wounds were not million dollar wounds, in the days of WWII he would not have been sent home. But, it was a good way to go home. The man is NO hero. Unless someone deep fat fries him and serves him with ketchup on a hoagie bun. I was stationed in San Francisco during Mr. Kerry's testimony. It did not take us long to learn NOT to wear our uniforms ashore. The only veteran Mr. Kerry is, is one to be ashamed of. There are sites you can go to to read overviews of the book and see the pictures that he (MR. Kerry) is trying to hide. Type in Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, and they will provide a link. That site was theatened with a lawsuit if they showed the cover of The New Soldier. It says on the cover of the book, "by John Kerry and Vietnam Veterans Against the War". Sooooo..... if he did not write it, why does it say "by John Kerry." The one thing about the book, is it shows me why I do not want him for president. If you are a Kerry fan you will love it. I am a female veteran who served during Vietnam, and I am not a Kerry fan.
