Will not work unless you can keep your mouth constantly shut while sleeping
To work, it requires that you consistently keep your mouth shut all night, which is tough to remember to do when you are, uhm... asleep. So it doesn't work. In their product brochure, they acknowledge this by mentioning that the use of a third party chin strap might help. But those anti-snore chin straps don't clamp your jaw in a shut position, and it only takes one nocturnal jaw opening (against an elastic chin strap or otherwise) for the Zyppah to become dislodged and allow your jaw to slip back into snore position. If you can keep your jaw shut all night, then save yourself some money and just buy a moldable mouthpiece for ~$20. There are plenty available on Amazon; just search for "mandibular advancement" and make sure you choose one that is "moldable". And remember to move your jaw forward when you set it. As far as I can tell, the Zyppah is so expensive because they won a US patent due to their added tongue strap. That strap didn't even touch my tongue when I tried the Zyppah, so draw your own conclusion about whether this patented strap is worth an additional $80. Oh, I almost forgot the best part-- evidently the patented strap wears out, so you need to keep buying this thing every so often! Please...
