EXPIRED ITEM COVERED UP USE BY DATE.. JUN 2016, PURCHASED MAY 2017
I paid $15.99 for this bottle of peppermint syrup, when I opened the box I noticed there were 4 added bar code stickers placed all over the item (have never seen so many added bar code stickers which seemed a bit odd). When looking for the expiration date, the front of the bottle notes to see the shoulder of the bottle for the "use by date" this date was securely and I mean securely covered with a nearly impossible to remove sticker but with a little oil, I was at least able to see: Best ......fuzzy glue mess... JUN2016. Seems to have been purposely covered so that the buyer is unable to see that the item is out of date. Of course this just happens to be a NO RETURN item. Not sure what is happening to Amazon lately, 2nd incident in two weeks, and I never give negative reviews... so disappointed!! WAS a super Amazon user, but not sure if I am going to use this any longer.
