Depends on how much you like fire
First off, they don't fit all outlets. Outlets that are 220 are thicker (at least by code in our area) and the prongs do not make contact with the terminals. I was able to try one in an older outlet though. It went in easily and appeared to be ok. However, when I plugged in a vacuum, it shorted out, blew the circuit and started a small fire. Fortunately, I was right there so it caused no damage other than scorch marks on the wall.
