When this arrived it was with great anticipation. We could finally take our dog around without him jumping on everyone repeatedly in the car. We installed the seat in the middle of the back row and secured it with a seatbelt. Biscuit hopped right in, we attached the clasp to his collar and off we went. Within about 5 minutes or so he was ready To get out of the seat. This is where the problem was. The stamp that was to connect him to the seat is only attached to the fabric and not the base of the dog seat. So that meant he was able to jump out and get tangled in the strap while he was still attached. If I were driving alone he might have successfully hung himself. It was a scary moment. The strap to hold the dog in place should not have any give. It should be secured to the base of the product. It is not. Begging only attached to the fabric gave him about and extra 8-10” of wiggle room allowing him to get out of the seat, and hand off the edge of it while still being attached. This product does not work at all.
