I ordered these walnuts during the recent Prime Day. I was so looking forward to them and I thought that since these were a special 30% ($6.00) off for Prime Day, that this was Amazon's way of really pushing this brand out there to get people exposed to them. As it turn out, its more likely Amazon had a lot of these nuts sitting around and wanted to get rid of some supply. These walnuts are NOT fresh. They are not rancid, nor do they smell like paint as some people have said, BUT for sure they are not fresh either. And while they are not bitter, they don't have that fresh buttery taste of fresh walnuts. They have very little taste at all. Walnuts are expensive, so I suppose these were they are a decent "value", but slightly stale and bland walnuts don't give me a "Happy Belly".
