Somehow the concept that this specific trimmer was NOT designed for face or beard eluded me amongst the cries of adoration from citizens of planet Amazon. This is a BODY TRIMMER ONLY and the directions state quite clearly that this should not be used on face or beard. In fact, the way they designed the shaving side of this pivoting head it would be very difficult to use on the face because on each side of the foil there are more bare shaving bars exposed.
