Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I was excited to try these until I opened the plastic cover. What's with that smell? It's pretty off-putting. I kept checking the expiration date, but it was not exipred. I thought it might get better after cooking, but unfortunately that was wishful thinking. Everyone else in our family fled the kitchen and refused to even take a bite just based on the smell. Being the veggie patty advocate in our family, I stubbornly plugged my nose and took a bite. I managed to force down about half of one patty (smothered in ketchup) before I too was forced to flee and toss the rest in the trash. Not sure where all the hype and great reviews are coming from. I have had many different veggie patties over the years, and excluding a few really dry ones I have enjoyed them. Maybe I got a bad pack?
