Update: no longer recommend especially for a memory foam mattress
Update 11/6/18: I was folding extra bed linens and came across the pillow case that came with this set. I had put it aside because I had 2 matching white pillowcases I preferred using over just the one. I'd forgotten the sheets I bought were grey as the sheets FADED HORRIBLY. Now most cotton sheets will fade over time BUT I've had these for a little over 6 months and not only have they faded they are an entirely different color! they started out as a steel blue grey, they are now a light warm beige. I hadn't noticed because, frankly I don't care about sheet color as no one but me will see them and I've had every color under the rainbow. BUT I am very concerned as to the quality of these sheets given time. Sheets should not fade in a 6 month period. I've been using cotton sheets just like these for 30 years and I've never had so many issues develop like this. Reducing my rating, again. Will not repurchase. Update10/19/18: I recently bought a new mattress which is much thicker than the old one. The old one was 8 inches, so I was never too concerned about having deep enough sheets to fit. These are suppose to fit mattresses up to 17 inches deep BUT I can't see how that is possible because these barely fit the new mattress which is only 12 inches deep! Also after a few months they have shrunk (I've never had sheets shrink, they always seem to stretch out) so instead of a snug fit it's a very, very tight fit. This was not too much of an issue with the coil spring mattress I had, but seems to be an issue with my new mattress which is memory foam. The tighter sheet compresses the foam and it is not as plush as it should be with bed linens on. I've been tempted to sleep on a bare mattress because it is a different experience without the sheets. The fabric itself is wonderful BUT as the fit and dimensions are off I no longer recommend these sheets, which is a pity because it's so hard to find decent cotton sheets in a twin that are not meant for kids. ********** I may be jumping the gun but I am 100% satisfied with these sheets. I'm super picky about my sheets and can't live with anything that is'n 100% cotton sateen weave 300 thread count. Having a twin bed makes it difficult to find anything not meant for children, like flannel or microfiber. I'd buy a bigger bed but it's just me and it's an expensive all wood bed frame so I live with it. Anyway, I'd gotten to the point where I was buying the same Sealy sheets over and over in whatever color, and I was happy, until they discontinued making them. I wasn't sure what I would do but I happen across these the day my old sheets ripped un-expectantly, and took a leap of faith. When they arrived 2 days later I was pleased to find that they were indeed soft (not I've had these sheets for a year and they are just perfect soft, but soft none the less). I washed them right away and put them on the bed and the bottom sheet fits nicely. As far as I can tell they are definitely 600 thread count as the material is thicker than the 400 thread count sheets they replaced but thinner than the 1000 thread count pillow cases I own (A lucky find on clearance!) Please note that these are cotton sheets and they will wrinkle, no matter what you do, You can starch and Iron them all you like, they will wrinkle. That's what cotton does, especially when it's new. Older sheet are less prone to it as they get softer (and thinner). The only way to get around it is to use a sheet that has synthetics in it, but they don't breathe like cotton. That's the main reason I need cotton sheets, anything else and I get hot and sticky. I had to use the microfiber "in case" sheets I own and I was miserable for the 2 days it took for these to get here. So far, I'm impressed and would buy them again, so long as the company continues to make them.
