Buyer beware.
Argh! I can't believe I fell for it again. There are too many seed sellers buying seeds from Alibaba in China. And when these sellers have the seeds shipped to you confiscated by customs, they tell you not their fault. They take no liability for their illegal behavior. And the consumer looses 85% of the time. I can see the difficulty Amazon would have in policing these crooks. And let's face it, they are crooks who count on your gullibility or your faith, whichever, and sell you a product that IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE USA. Now I am sure that this seller knows this because he tells you ahead of time "don't blame me, I'm just the middleman". And I am willing to bet that this seller knows that the seeds are not ALLOWED IN THE USA, and yet he advertises on Amazon USA. So after the 4th time of purchasing seeds that will come from China, I think I might be able to figure out who is legitimate and who is not. First, if Amazon fulfills the order buy them. If the price is too good to be true, then the product will in all probability come from China. If it is going to take more than 7-10 days, probably not coming from any place in the US. If Amazon doesn't track the seeds, have caution. And finally, (and this is not a plug for anyone) shop with the seed sellers who have a store on Amazon. ASK THE SELLER QUESTIONS! If you are like me when it comes to gardening, then you understand the deep disappointment of useless seeds that either never arrive in a timely fashion, or they are seized. Or worst of all, the time, energy and love that goes into planting seeds, is a total waste.
