Buyer Beware. Diarrhea/Vomit Central!
I purchased this product to add to two of my dogs' regular diet. They are adult dogs, a German Shepherd and a Husky. They have no health concerns and eat very well. They have been on the same food for over a month now. And then we started this supplement. I gave it to the first time last night and boy was it a mistake! The husky refused to eat his food. The Shepherd had massive diarrhea all over and vomited twice in the middle of the night. He is refusing to eat now (the next day) and we are going to the vet. We've used the same company's Vitamin C product for months now without a single problem. Trying to replace that with this multi-vitamin Canine Complete formula has been traumatizing for both me and the dogs. Before purchasing this product, buyers should be aware of the following complaints: 1) UNAPPETIZING SMELL - your dog might be turned off by the smell. It's not meaty. It's kelpy? Is that a word? It just smells weird (like moldy plant matter) and unappetizing. I don't blame my husky for refusing to eat his dinner. 2) QUANTITY - the feeding directions indicate that you have to give your dog A LOT of this product. There is a reason why it's a 1 pound package. Here is what the package says: Dogs 2-30 lbs. 1 TBSP; 31-60 lbs. 1 1/2 TBSP; 61 lbs and over 2 TBSP. Since my dogs are over 61 pounds, I should've put 2 TBSP but I figured since it was the first night we were starting the supplement, I'd take it down to 1 1/2. And it was still a disaster. I am going to contact the seller for a refund. More later.
