CHANGED FORMULA - ADDED IRON/CHANGED SERVING SIZE
I've been using Renzo's Multi-Vitamin and Iron Strong for my nearly three-year-old for a year now. They've been great, she loves them and she's no longer anemic. But I noticed this last bottle had a child-safety lid on the multivitamin. Thank god I thought to check the label. They made several changes without indicating it: - They added iron. Most multivitamins with iron note it on the front of the label. Iron poisoning can kill kids, so it's very important for parents to know when it's in a product. It's why they added the child-proof cap, but you'd have to read the tiny, 6-point font in the ingredients to know it was in the product. - They changed the dosage. Previously it had been one tablet for kids age 2-3 and two tablets for kids 4+. Now it's 1/2 a tablet for kids age 2-3, and one tablet for kids 4+. So if you're a parent who's been using this product previously, you're going to double-dose your kid. With the iron, that's dangerous. - They removed choline, magnesium and calcium. So there are fewer total vitamins/minerals. I'm pretty annoyed. With the iron, a double dose of it, plus the other iron pill I was giving my kid, I could have poisoned her. If they want to change the formula, they owe it to parents to let them know.
