I loved the JBL Flip 3 when I first bought it. I would put it in my bike's water bottle holder for leisurely rides, and I also packed it in my luggage when traveling. Sounded great, and got about 8 hours out of a single charge. After about a year of casual usage, battery life started to diminish. Around the same time, I started hearing some distortion at high volumes. Slightly annoying but not the end of the world. After about a year and a half, it has become nearly unusable. I get obnoxious chirps at higher volumes, and despite a full charge, the speaker turns off on its own after about 30 minutes. I can't rely on this for a short ride across town let alone a day-long ride or weekend getaway. I take good care of my electronics and get years out of them, but I didn't even get 2 out of the Flip 3. I expected more for $95.
