This item was bought because of it's supposed waterproof properties to protect a new mattress. This product is NOT waterproof. After discovering that there was a urine accident, it was cleaned up and dried. After removing the mattress cover, the brand new mattress is ruined because the urine soaked through the 'waterproof' cover. Not only are we out the cost of the protector, but the money spent on the new mattress is wasted due to never being able to remove the urine smell and having to trash the mattress. Poor product and does not perform as advertised.
