A major let down...
I was thrilled at the though of a McQueen book. I was dubious about the low price, but purchased it anyway. I have been following McQueen's career since his first professional show, so when the book arrived my anticipation level was high. The book itself is about a 1/4 inch thick and about the size of a sheet of typing paper. The introduction was obvious and the pictures were lackluster. The author clearly threw this book together as a means to profit from his death. The images mainly focus on his later career. His early collections were skimmed over. Most of McQueen's ingenuity came from his early work. The author failed to acknowledge some of his most poignant collections like "Untitled", "13" or "La Poupee". If you have no idea who Alexander McQueen is, this book will not benefit you. Frankly, you can find out just as much information from his Wikipedia page and [...] images. For the die hard fan, this book is a MAJOR let down - avoid it at all cost.
