Every time I use this vacuum I get all mad and tell myself I need to sit down and write a review on it. I bought this vacuum on amazon for a Christmas present to myself. I was really stoked on the price and all the great reviews on it. I need a vacuum that is great on hardwood floors and for pets. I have two cats and a dog, and the whole house is hard wood floors. I was originally planning to give this a three star review based on the fact that I felt like this would be a fine vacuum for a one room sort of use. For a room where you feed the pets that like to throw their pet food all over the place along with their fur I felt like this would be an okay vacuum for. I'm looking for a vacuum I can use all over the house all around the house for a fast clean up before I mop. Superior Edge Cleaning- NO WAY! I can't believe how much this left behind especially in the edges of the floor next to the walls. It's prime time dirty house time here in Missouri with winter. We have sand, salt and gravel being trekked in and when i go over the heaviest soiled spot in my house for this, it looks like i didn't do anything! I had to go get my big old upright vacuum and pull out the hose attachment to go suck up what was left behind, which was ALOT. (I'm not your typical clean free suburbanite I'm alright with some dirt, especially since we're restoring our whole 100+ year old house.) The cord- I think the cord could be longer. Maybe I am biased because I am trying to use this for my whole house but I find myself having to plug in and out through out a room to get to everywhere. The Design- I hate the claw shaped head of the vacuum. It makes getting into corners and trying to use it on stairs worthless. I did like that it doesn't have a beater bar so it can't throw dirt behind you or get jammed with pet fur. It is really nice and light weight but I rather lug around a super heavy vacuum that works! What led me to finally sit down and tell you DONT BUY THIS, was today I picked it up and stuck my hand under it to see what the suction was like. HA! I think my little battery powered, charges on the wall, hand vac has more power than this thing does. I cleaned it all out too. So there aren't any clogs that could be getting in the way of it's power. I have never been this disappointed with a vacuum. Honest. I'm sad to say I'm looking for a place to recycle this vacuum.
