This heater is lacking in many ways. The black on black on black control buttons are difficult to use. Whether this product has a remote control or not, the control buttons should be readable at all times. As far as the heat this item produces my experience is it puts out a generous amount when you first start it but then it does nothing the rest of the time. For example, an independent thermostat in my bedroom showed the temp was 64 degrees. I brought the heater in and set the thermostat to 68. Nothing. I waited a few minutes and it still wasn't working. I turned it up to 70 degrees and it provided a burst of heat for 5 - 10 seconds. That was it. The room is still at 64 degrees. I set it at 75 and go to bed. A few hours later, I wake up because I'm so cold. I look at my thermostat and the temp it shows is 62 degrees. The heater is doing nothing. Thermostat problems - probably but I don't really care what's causing the problem, I just know I paid good money for this unit and it doesn't work. What I really find deplorable is that this item was ranked a 5 by thousands of people. That was a key component of my decision to purchase it. When I went through the paperwork I found a "coupon" for $20 off an Amazon item. If you wrote a review, sent a copy to the company and they approved it, then you get the credit. Hhhmmm, something doesn't sound right about that.... Finally, as a disabled senior it's difficult for me to return items because it requires me to lift and carry them. That's difficult for me to do. I highly resent this company because they fooled me with their phony ratings so I'd buy this product. I do not recommend this item to anyone
