Disconnects constantly and does not reconnect after every possible solution
I purchased this apple pencil in order to illustrate on my ipad. For the first couple of months it was working fine. I didnt have any issues connecting the devices via bluetooth or using it with my design apps. For the last few weeks it has been disconnecting mid-use and then not reconnecting at all after plugging it into the ipad for a quick charge. The battery section in my notifications window displays "100% charged" apple pencil, and my bluetooth is both ON and apple pencil "CONNECTED" under MY DEVICES in my settings. The pencil continues NOT TO WORK AT ALL. I have executed every possible option there is to troubleshoot both the pencil and the ipad.
I have made my ipad "forget this device", restarted my ipad, rebooted my ipad, disconnected bluetooth and wifi, plugged in the apple pencil to pair the devices multiple times, reset my network settings multiple times. I have tried adjusting the tip of the pencil to make sure it is not loose (it is on tight every time), switching the used tip for the new one, removing my screen protector, removing my cover, charging the pencil with the usb chord. I've called Apple support twice without any luck in understanding why this is happening when it definitely should not be. None of these steps have done anything to fix this issue - and it continues to perisists
Out of NO WHERE, after a few hours of sitting idle, the pencil will start working again. This conveniently happens when I need it the least... There is no apparent reason it starts functioning again. It will work, for the most part, until I have to recharge its battery. Once I plug it in to charge, I know, without a doubt, that it will stop working when I unplug and try to use it.
I want to give this device a good rating because when it works, it does so smoothly and BEAUTIFULLY. But I cannot give it anything above a 1 star because it constantly malfunctions without an easy fix - which is a huge inconvenience for someone with commissioned work to complete. I hope something is figured out soon.
