I really don't know where to begin, this book was just that awful. I guess I will start with the author's own words. "This book was previously released as 'Seeing the Elephant'... I self published with only my own editing...I wanted to fix some mistakes...I want to make this book to be the best it can be...It went through a rewrite, an editor...I hope those that read 'Seeing the Elephant' will appreciate the changes, and my new readers will not be as distracted by my silly grammar mistakes from the first time around." That being said, I expected a well-written, well-edited book. This is NOT the case AT ALL. So I stumbled through comma splices, verb tense changes, modern slang (gonna), dangling participles, misplaced modifiers, narration changes from third person to first person back to third person, and a plethora of other grammatical errors, thinking that at least the plot must get better over time. NOPE! This was THE biggest waste of my reading time I've seen in a very very long time. I have NO idea who would be giving a book of such poor quality a five star rating. Honestly, I really don't enjoy bashing any author's work. But to put the statements in the beginning of the book that this author did, and then have writing so horrendous that even middle schoolers could do better, I have no choice but to tell it like it is. I will NEVER read another one of this author's books EVER EVER EVER.
