I have a very unfortunate review to write. Our sweet chocolate lab puppy, Ryder, passed away due to the trauma of strangulation from this collar. While playing outside with her mother dog, her collar was tightened to a sickening size and she was without enough oxygen to her brain for several minutes. In this time, blood and fluid filled her lungs, to where she was drowning internally. My mother found her and rushed her to the Emergency Vet where I paid $2300 for 48 hours of ICU care, which mostly consisted of laying in a oxygen cage in hopes of her brain and lungs to heal themselves; as there wasn't much else the Vet could do. Unfortunately our sweet girl passed away less than 24 hours later. I have never heard of this, so I never knew the importance of a break away feature on the collar buckle. I will never again put a collar on a dog (outside of a walk in which eyes will be on the dog at all times), that does not have a break away feature.
