50% weaker
Projector is 1,500 lumens. Is that “50 brighter than similar projectors” as claimed? No way. It is about 50% weaker. Used in my classroom with lights off and windows covered and the projector pretty close to the screen, and it was still not bright enough for me. It works but is just not bright enough. I returned this and got a 3,200 lumens projector now that I familiarized myself with lumens.
EDIT: I was contacted by DBPOWER after I returned this item. They offered me a $30 Amazon gift card in exchange for me to either change my review to 5 stars, or to delete my review. At first, I went with it. I changed my review to 5 stars. Fine. Then, they contacted me again, this time offering me a second "gift," this time a free bluetooth speaker, in order for me to delete my review entirely They also informed me that they are not allowed to contact me outside Amazon. So why are they contacting me then? This is too much hassle and is weird and I am changing my review back to 2 stars.
By the way, in the email they sent me, they admit it is not that good of a projector -- they say it is good just for the price. Direct quote from email: "the projector is only bright enough to use with the lights off or at night, for 3 to 5 people to watch. And the resolution is not high enough to make it sharp and clear."
