Returned it. Not For Us!
We moved to a new home that has hardwood floors, and with a medium hair cat in the midst of shedding season, we needed something to pick up as much as we could with not much effort. We read reviews and advice on this product and decided to splurge for what we thought was trouble-free cleaning. What a disappointment!
The machine is as state-of-the-art as it comes and has all sorts of bells and whistles, and it was nice to know when it was getting "too close to a cliff" (?) through the app, but that's about all that could be said good about it. Firstly, the storage capacity for debris is super small, so it requires constant emptying. Secondly, the "random" cleaning pattern of the machine seemed a lot less random than it should, as the Roomba kept tracking consistently down the same path, leaving large areas uncovered every time. Then, there's the cat hair. As you can see on the pictures, the wheel well of the front wheel are deep, and it takes a lot of hair. Once it fills up, it locks the roomba up and you must manually remove it before you can use it again. The amount of hair in it that we removed was unreal, and we only used it a few times.
Bottom line: if you just need a self-managed vacuum cleaner for light duty keep-up, this is a trendy, stylish and adequate machine. If what you need is something better capable to handle large volumes of pet hair, go with a Bissell PowerEdge Pet Hardwood Floor Bagless Cleaner Stick Vacuum for large coverage (we LOVE IT! light and easy to handle), and a BISSELL Pet Hair Eraser Lithium Ion Cordless Hand Vacuum for the "hair bunnies". Together they cost less than the Roomba, and we can pick up the hair balls with the handheld as they materialize, on the spot, without problems. We're buying one more of each as back ups, we like them so much!
