I was working in my garage and the extension cable started a small fire! It was really scary. But I was able to put the fire out and throw the extension cable out into my driveway, safely away from my house, for it to cool down. So thankfully, there was no fire damage to my house, just some charring/burning in my garage on my flooring and the worktable that the cable was under. But the extension cable has been destroyed and melted due to it starting on fire. It's scary and unfortunate that it started a fire, but I'm glad that it didn't burn my garage and house down. I wanted to let everyone know so that you can keep an eye out on these, and so the manufacturer can try to improve on the design to help prevent this from happening again to anyone else in the future.
