A great idea, but not nearly ready.
My dog was neutered and sent home with a terrible cone of shame. He knocked things over, had a hard time getting out of his crate, and kept running the cone into things. Assuming that there were better things out there, I searched and found this device. I ordered it via Prime and it arrived very quickly.
Sizing was easy and the size that I measured was the same as the suggested size on the manufacturers website (confirming to me that my measurement was correct). The device fit on easily and it was great! The dog could eat and drink and didnt run into anything. He could maneuver and yet, could not reach the surgical site. Awesome!
However, I realized that it was keeping in moisture about 4 days later when I could see moisture in the clear plastic part. Worse yet, I noticed that my dogs neck was bleeding. This rubbed his neck raw. I've attached a picture so you can see what I'm talking about.
We are, unfortunately, back to the cone. This is a great idea for a device and hopefully they'll work on it to prevent trapped moisture and rub injuries. Maybe some vents and padding will help.
