When they PACK (first) and SELL you this Rolling Pin with the wood knot (and a hole) right in the middle of it, that means they : 1. Don't care about the product. 2. Don't care about you as end user. I read the reviews here and some had the same problem. One had reply from the manufacturer where they enclosed their email address. So I decided to write them about my problem and I included these photos. That was over 24 hrs ago - no reply. Here is why the small hole in the middle of the pin is the problem. First you have to be aware that you cant wash this. Now that you know that, guess what will stays in that hole after each use (unless you want to spend an hour cleaning it) ? That's right. Your dough. Now that's not all. Guess what I use in my dough ? An Egg. Guess what develops in that hole later on ? Bacteria. Now - am I going to get sick because of that ? I don't know. I don't want to guess. I also don't want to play stupid return game for the lousy 20 bucks. So this one goes to my fireplace and I will order some more expansive one with the hope that these guys when they see the knot RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the pin (and possibly the hole too) will not PACK that pin and send it to new customer.
