CONSUMERS BEWARE- GO BACK TO eBAY!
CONSUMERS BEWARE! GO BACK TO eBAY! The Amazon store card company initially approved me for a $900 limit when I first applied a about a year ago. They then raised my limit to $1200.00 a few months later. So, I did my all of my Christmas 2014 shopping with the Amazon store card with 12 months no interest. I paid off the entire balance on February 2015; so at that point, I had $2000 available credit. I used the card last month to buy about $260 worth of merchandise. Today, I discovered that they lowered my credit card limit from $1200 down to $250 this month, which put me $12.50 over my credit limit (my current balance is $262.50). The reason they gave me: they adjusted my limit because they ran my credit score again without my knowledge. My score recently went down 12 points since I opened an account with Rooms to Go. This seems very unscrupulous to me. I am looking into legal options as I am now over my credit limit and am incurring fees. I used to use Amazon to buy everything and so do most people in my immediate and extended family. Back to eBay for all of us and we are all canceling our Amazon prime memberships. Well, you have been warned! Good luck...
