I ordered these masks as I have not been able to locate any N95 masks and the one I wear for grocery trips, curbside pickups, etc. won’t last forever. The failing of these masks is the wire nosepiece on top. The wire is so stiff, it cannot be bent around the bridge of the nose in order to create a good seal. I worked with it for a few minutes and couldn’t get it to do right. This leaves gaps at the top of the mask, very noticeable when you breathe out (the wind from my breath hits my eyes). Breathing in is a little better, but the gaps are always there. I can imagine the mask material itself can do a good job in a lab at stopping small particles. But on someone’s face in the real world, I don’t see how it could be 95% effective. The masks are going back and I would not recommend them to anybody. They are better than nothing, but not much.
