This heater worked amazingly...for 2 and a half weeks. Pay very careful attention people. I came home from a 21 hour shift at work, and this heater was making a funny noise and my turtle was acting strange. I looked closer and noticed the coils were glowing cherry red. The water temperature read 99 degrees. My poor RES was cooking for God knows how long. The poor thing. I will not be purchasing another heater from this company. It was faulty in less than 3 weeks. Luckily he is fine, but my turtle could have died.
