IQAir trying to remove feature support after purchase
Just over a week ago, IQAir delisted all but one of my sensors from their online page allowing access to sensor data. Upon contacting IQAir, I received the following response: "This is because a full view of all devices on the web dashboard has become a paying feature. You could still check and manage all your devices on the AirVisual app." I'm sorry, that's not how this works. I bought these products *because* of the online access. I am also currently providing a service to IQAir by allowing them to publicly list one of my outdoor sensors. The weirdest part is, the one sensor I can still see is in my living room. I can no longer even access my public sensor online in order to adjust its settings. Obviously I am insisting that IQAir immediately delist the sensor, and if they do not, I will do so myself. Update: I actually recently spoke with someone from IQAir about this, and while the earlier contacts leave me with mixed feelings on the whole experience, it wouldn't be fair to leave this review as is. IQAir has since restored access to view all of my sensors in the online dashboard, though they did state that this was just done just for me. I do very much appreciate that, but I'd like to have seen IQAir reverse this decision for *all* customers, not just the ones who complain. Update 12/2021: Downgrading to 1 star, because after reporting this bug multiple times over the past several years, sensors still report "no data" when they're actually reporting, but reporting a PM2.5 value of 0. This is a ridiculously basic data handling bug where someone, apparently, thought it was okay treat 0 as an invalid value on a measurement which can actually be 0, and obviously IQAir just doesn't care about fixing it. The rest of their app, frankly, is of similar quality, and, among other things, will present days old data as current. Basically, someone looked at the UI, said "that's pretty", never bothered to check whether it actually worked, and decided that was good enough.
