Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous
The tin contains a little cloth napkin (intended for use as a coaster I believe), a little metal spoon with a muddler on the other end, 2 packets of raw cane sugar, and a mini bottle of bitters (which they claim is refillable but you better have a steady hand or a really tiny funnel). They say there is enough for 2 drinks but that really depends on the size of your drink I guess. The quality of everything in the kit is about par and really the drink will only taste as good as the alcohol you supply, as really an old-fashioned is meant to enhance your whiskey. But really my beef with this kit is the price. I get that it's a gimmick of sorts. A bit of a novelty. BUT you get two drinks with this "kit". Let's say you use this on an airplane as it is intended. A bottle of booze on a plan is what? $6? I don't know I never buy them cause they are expensive. But lets say $6. And this kit is $24?! So $12 for the booze and $24 for the kit making that two drinks for $36? Or $18 a piece. I'm sorry, but anyone who spends $18 on a single non-specialty-liquor old fashioned is likely so rich that they have no reason to carry this kit anyway. They have a private jet and a personal bartender. And hookers and blow. ;)
