The positive aspects of this show are well-documented in other reviews, so I will defer to those excellent entries. Suffice to say, The Expanse is easily the best Sci-Fi television series of the past decade and arguably makes the list of all-time favorites as well. As someone who has followed it since season one (along with all the ups, downs, and uncertainty) and has spread it to multiple other people, I consider myself a devoted fan of the series. Unfortunately, Amazon has ruined the experience of this series with this year's release schedule. A story as deep and rich as this is negatively impacted by forced extended periods between episodes, during which seemingly minor details may be forgotten, which turn out later to be quite relevant. Fans of this model often proclaim "just wait and watch it all at once in February," but this approach has the drawback of creating a month and a half of opportunity for the show to be spoiled for those waiting. It really is unfortunate that Amazon elected to change the release schedule of the show in this way. Just like flour shipped without a bag, while the core product may be perfectl, the delivery ruins it.
