AVOID GREENALS. Misrepresented the product and failed to issue credit upon return
The Greenals product page shows bottles with glass droppers having a TAPERED end (the tip comes to a gradual point). That's what I needed, but the bottles shipped to me had bulbous, round-end droppers. Useless for my application, and apparently inferior to the item pictured/advertised.
Greenals mailed me 12 GLASS bottles with GLASS droppers in an ENVELOPE. Not a box, a USPS padded bubble envelope! That's ridiculous, and not surprisingly, the glass dropper pipettes in 2 of the bottles arrived BROKEN. The glass walls of those two broken dropper pipettes were amazingly thin - an indication of the inferiority of this product, and further proof that proper shipping requires a BOX with filler material, not a padded envelope.
I emailed Greenals to notify them of the breakage and to inquire regarding the product misrepresentation, and was surprised when Greenals asked me to PROVE my claim of damage by sending photos! Instead I sent the whole stupid mess back to Greenals, and thought we had agreed on a full refund including postage - due to the product misrepresentation and the unsuitable packing/shipping. But there was more trouble.
Tracking indicated that Greenals received my return parcel on August 5, but by August 13 (8 days later) there still was no sign of a refund. So I contacted Amazon Customer Service and they offered to issue me an AMAZON.com credit for the full amount, and take up the matter with Greenals themselves. I truly appreciate the way Amazon steps in to protect the customer; I buy more from Amazon than from any other source, and this level of service is a major factor as to WHY. Thanks, Amazon.
Greenals is doing a disservice to other 3rd-party Amazon vendors. How? Based on this bad experience, I'm reluctant to deal with 3rd-party vendors.
LESSON LEARNED: If you have to return an item to a 3rd-party vendor, do it through the standard Amazon return process; don't deal with the vendor directly. Using the standard Amazon process affords Amazon OVERSIGHT that should keep shenanigans to a minimum.
MY ADVICE: DON'T BUY FROM GREENALS. Word-search Amazon for "amber dropper bottles" and add the specific shape "boston round". You'll find other vendors selling them, and selling superior versions of them. If the type of glass dropper tip matters to you, ASK FIRST via an email to the vendor.
