After few uses, I decided to clean the lid and that is when I realized the lid had started to melt and plastic chips were coming out. Also the water was getting collected on the rim of pot So the problem was pot and lid was not aligned properly which is manufacturing defect. But company is not ready to honor the warranty. The other problem was the cooking is not uniform. You can see difference in kidney beans or while cooking garbonzo beans. Photo attached. I emailed them ( I got IP ultra in aug mid. I didnt use it for some time. I recently started using it. I am seeing 2 main issues with my IP ultra. 1) in the pot itself, the place where I have marked with red on the plastic edge of pot, water stays. so excess water is not going straight to condensator. 2) i saw the plastic chip last week. today when i was cleaning the lid, i realized some plastic on the lid has melted. i saw only 1 small chip. so seems like plastic was getting mixed in the food ! model : ip ultra The response I got from ip was like this : The condensation around the rim, has to do with the melted part of your Lid. I want to thank you very much for sending those pictures. I am sorry to say but this type of physical damage (melted Lid) is not covered under our warranty policy.) So buy it cautiously, if you get defective item then its complete loss.
