Dangerous. Do not buy.
This printer starting making a burning smell and melted components. Do not buy. The last malfunction that made me choose to send it back. The printer started making a loud clicking noise. I didn't know why until I started seeing the black filament mysteriously turn white while printing and smelled a burning smell. Turns out the motor that feeds the filament through the PTFE tube was turning only about 1/3rd and then it would skip backwards the same distance causing the loud clicking noise. It did this over and over again. This caused it to stop feeding the black filament and consequently the hot end starting melting and printing with the PTFE tube itself. Explaining how black filament starting coming out white. If I had not caught it, it would have eventually starting burning other components. Bed is warped. Bowed downwards in the middle. It simply cannot be adequately leveled. If you try and level it at the corners, the middle is too low. If you try and level it at the middle the hot end scrapes the bed when homing. Must heat PLA to 200c in order to get it to stick, due to the warped bed, which ends up causing lots of very fine stringing. Small fibers that go from part to part. This printer has the potential to be a great one. I like how easy it is to assemble and get going. But they failed to quality control one of the most critical parts. The actual printing surface. I will be forced to either purchase a piece of glass for the bed or send the unit back. Not sure which one I'm going to try yet. Mostly due to the fact that the printer is already a bit more expensive than it is anywhere else. And I really don't want to spend the extra on top of the somewhat premium price I already paid.
