I bought this shaver 2 or 3 times over the years after having a hard time choosing a women's shaver that seemed to work well at a reasonable price. Each time, the ES2216PC would work ok for a few months, but before long the battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than 1 or 2 shaves, and in general just seemed to underperform, not leaving my legs very smooth. I would buy a new one (since the replacement parts were expensive compared to the price of a new shaver, and the battery wasn't holding a charge, and there didn't seem to be many options) and repeat the frustration. No more. I found the solution in my husband's drawer - buy a men's shaver. I purchased the Panasonic ES-LT41-K (the same one my hubby has used happily for over a year), and after using it several months, will never buy another pink shaver targeted at women again. Hands down, the men's shaver is better. Although more expensive (yet still reasonably priced, imo) than the women's shaver, the ES-LT41-K delivers much better value. I am still amazed that, unlike the ES2216PC, this thing can be used daily for well over a week before needing a charge. (And the recharge is blazing fast - no more leaving my shaver charging overnight to barely get one decent shave before the motor is slowing down.) It delivers a closer shave, and is quite comfortable to use. Ladies, save your money and just buy a men's shaver instead.
