I bought this cookbook this morning. It’s 1:30 and I’ve just finished cooking the beef bolognese. I cooked the dish 5 mins as per directions (against my better judgement). I usually cook penne 20 mins in sauce. Recipe called for only 5 mins. Completely starchy, uncooked, hard pasta. Horrible. Added a cup of liquid and cooked another 5 mins in instant pot. We tried it. Penne is cooked al dente but no flavor in the sauce and bottom layer of dish is totally stuck and black as in burnt!! I usually use another pressure cooker recipe in this same instant pot I’ve used for over a year, that is very flavorful and completely cooked in 20 mins. I doubt the author tested this recipe. It’s more like a formulaic recipe minus seasonings for flavor. I intend to get my money back. The book is only 3.00, but adding the cost of all the ruined ingredients, makes this book way too expensive to even try another recipe.
