I bought three of these because I thought they would last on our ranch. The hose rubber/plastic material is great; durable and kink-resistant. Female end has held-up well; no complaints there. The male ends look like brass. Turns out they are brass-colored or brass-coated low-grade aluminum or perhaps pot-metal. They have corroded to the point that they leak and will have to be replaced. Hoses were used several times per day for less than two years.
