I had high hopes for this product. After my original set that came with my Note 8 went through the washing machine I was looking for a suitable replacement. The original sound fantastic and had a great mic quality. As soon as I put them on I could tell something was wrong. They definitely did not fit as comfortably as my originals. The braided cord definitely seemed more rigid, and the sound didn't have the high and low ends I remember. Third test was call Quality. I kept having people asking me "what? Can you repeat yourself? Your really quiet." Upon closer examination with a new OEM pair that I bought from a cell phone retailer you can definitely see some of the differences. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because they did work in a pinch but I will be throwing them away after this review. All of my attached photos the pair on the bottom are the knockoffs and the pair of the top of the originals. Inspection of the body alone you can see the knockoffs have a purple tint to the EKG emblem plate. The center button on the controller is noticeably smaller. And the microphone port is noticeably smaller reducing call clarity. The cord was also thicker and much more rigid. Not to mention the fit was terrible Save yourself the trouble and buy them direct until a legit source on Amazon can be found!
