Getting right to the point: there is a clear thing around the changeable blade that I have not figured out how to remove to clean it without slicing my hand off. I have written to Veggie Bullet twice asking how to remove it to clean under it and they have not told me how, instead they tell me that the product is covered under warranty. Here's the text of my most recent email to the customer service rep at Veggie Bullet: "Bryan, is the brush the only way to clean the machine? as I wrote to you, a brush cannot fit under that thing that is in the pictures. I have attached new pictures from when I tried to clean the machine after using it today. Centrifugal force causes vegetable particles to be forced under that clear thing that is shown in my pictures. It cannot be reached by the brush provided. Bacteria will build up and my family might get sick from me using this dirty machine to prepare their food. Is this a design flaw? I think so. If I can't clean the machine. Can the clear thing be taken off to clean the trapped vegetable particles under it? If not, how do I return the machine and get a full refund? See the attached pictures. " I like that I can slice a large amount of vegetables quickly with the machine. I don't like that there is no way to adjust the thickness of the slices. I tried adjusting how i push down on the plunger, hoping that if i push slower that I might get a thinner slice but that doesn't work because the blades spin so quickly that it sucks the veggies right down the chute. That's the force that causes the food to get trapped under that clear thing, whatever its called. I hope they can correct this situation or maybe they will send me some instructions on how to safely remove that thing. If not, I want my money back. 150.00 is a lot for a kitchen toy that I can't even use.
