This figure 8 may work for you, but my life is worth something. I returned mine. If you need a belay device to lower heavy items, go for it. If you're hanging off a cliff, 150' in the air, do you really want to trust your life to a device that isn't certified by the UIAA? This thing is very large, heavier than a climbing figure 8 needs to be, it's made in China and comes with no certifications. I don't want to be the one rescued. EDIT: I have been contacted by the company twice. They asked me to delete this review, claiming they take the criticism as good feedback for improvement. Obviously I didn't. If/when they improve/certify the product, I will reconsider, but why hide "constructive feedback"? I was now contacted a 3rd time, and they offered $35 to remove my comment. They also lied claiming they corrected the problem. The issue is UIAA certification, which they still don't have as far as I know.
