I really wanted to love these shoes. Just received them today. First thing I noticed was that the loop of the shoelaces where they adjust on both shoes appeared to be snapped, but no biggie, I just tied the two ends together. It did not look like they were suppose to come that way. I normally wear an 8 wide but after reading the reviews it seemed like the shoe was quite big and there was plenty of room in the toes so I bought a seven and a half. After putting the shoes on I wore them around the house and in my front yard for about an hour and a half. The heel is so high in these that my foot slid down to the toe and that's where the balance was on the tip of my toes at my toenails. It gave my toes the same feeling as when your toenails are too long and and so they hurt when you're wearing closed-toed shoes.. my toenails are not long at all. The shoes were plenty long enough because I could slip my heel to the back and if it would stay there my toes would have been fine but because of the height of the heel and there being no lift in the toe area it made my foot slide down into the toe. I tried walking on my heels to see if maybe I could flatten the heel out but there was no way that was going to work. I should also explain that I usually walk more on my heels and I couldn't even walk on my heels at all. All of the balance went directly to my toe tips . My daughter who normally wears a size 9 tried them on and they fit her comfortably. I guess that her feet were long enough that her heel actually was where her heel should have been in those shoes instead of having it slide down . So I just gave them to her. I was really looking forward to having a nice comfortable pair of walking shoes. Also, it has been about 8 hours since I wore them, and my toes still hurt from having them on for that short period of time.
