This is my second Mirro pressure cooker. We have one that is many, many years old, and as reliable as the sun coming up in the east every morning. I bought another because I hate to wait for the first to process and cool before I can do another batch of whatever. I have used a pressure cooker for enough years to know what I am doing, and even then I still read and followed the instructions completely. This model is junk. One use and the bottom is bulged so badly that is it not only unusable, it is unsafe. Just glad I used it before it was too late to return it. Kudos to Amazon, however. They replied to my return request almost instantly. Thanks Amazon! Shame on you, Mirro. Build your stuff in America again, like my old cooker was.
