I used it to spray water for a few minutes to test it out. I seemed to work fine. But after putting in some thinned latex, it ran about five minutes before the pump started putting a loud knocking noise and the pressure died. I couldn't clean the pump out but managed to hopefully salvage the hose and gun by taking them off and blowing them out with an air hose, making a huge mess in my driveway. The pump sat over night with the tub full of soapy water. The next morning I tried it again. Still the same loud noise. This is a trash unit that I am very disappointed with. I tried to go thru the Amazon return policy but it didn't work. But at least I got a hose and a cheap sprayer gun for $240. Better than nothing This seems to be a very cheap Chinese POS. NEVER buy anything Wagner. I did salvage the hose and gun, but it came at a high cost. Never again, total junk. Edit: Turned it over today and took cover off the bottom. What it looks like happened is the piston is attached to a small plastic piece that attaches to the connecting rod to the offset cam. This small plastic piece failed, the piston couldn't move and the noise was the connecting rod flopping around inside the case. From the looks of it I'm surprised it didn't tear up the case. I might find a way to reattach the piston but I doubt any parts are available. Still have to take the pump apart and see if I can get the now hardened paint cleaned out. Not sure if it's worth the trouble, I doubt it will last longer than 5 minutes again. Really cheap parts and design. Edit again: I tried to clean out the pump and try to salvage this POS but it was cheap stuff that was not designed to fix, only replace at a very high cost The hose and gun I hoped to reuse was a weird metric thread that will not work with any real airless sprayer. Overall, I am extremely disappointed that neither the seller or the manufacturer stepped up to take responsibility for this when asked. NEVER BUY WAGNER.
