Not even a shadow of its former self
When I was a kid, a reporter from the Post or NYT was considered to be special but now any connection is a negative. I don't completely trust anything from this paper and the more interesting news, although privately known to them, is not published. The system of checks and balances is not there and what's worse, it's clear that certain people are protected.
