I have a lot of white-ish tile flooring that has become dingy and not so white, and read a lot of reviews on steam mops. I finally decided on this one because I liked the idea of the lift-off steamer to use on higher up surfaces like showers as well as the clothes steamer functionality. It arrived quickly and I was excited to clean my floors! I filled it with distilled water, allowed it to heat up for a few minutes, and got to work. I quickly realized it wasn't doing anything noticeable. I slowed down and made many, many passes over the same area. I used the power steam function and that helped a bit but you can't use that the whole time. It did not make much difference and certainly not any more that a regular mop with the amount of work I had to put in. I went slowly over one tile several times and immediately placed my hand on the tile - it was barely warmer than room temperature. Not hot, not warm, not impressed. I also tried the hand-held steam on the shower tile and it really did nothing. It did help remove the soap scum from the glass door, but it took many passes. A Magic Eraser works much better and doesn't cost $138. Sadly, I returned it and plan to scrub my tile Cinderella style with a scrub brush.
