I am rating this fountain with a one star because of the ridiculous cost with the replacement filters. I am largely happy with the product itself; however, it arrived with just one filter. The product requires the filter to be changed every two to four weeks; however the filters cost $16.99 for a four pack. These are very small carbon filters (each about 1-inch by 2-inches and 3/8 of an inch thick). These small filters should not cost $4.24 cents each. They are very small. Since I have to replace them about every two weeks, it would be great if they came in a box of 16, which would then last about 6 months. But 16 small filters should not cost $68. The replacement filters are priced at a ridiculous price; therefore, I would not buy the unit in the first place.
