Very, Very, Slow Running Filters!!! I had hoped not to have to write this review as I have always liked the Brita system and hoped that over time Brita would have corrected these issues. Brita filters do a great job of removing chlorine and other chemicals, plus I use 2 different TDS meters to regularly test our tap water, (380 ppm) versus the Brita filtered water (90 ppm). The actual filter results that I get have been consistent through the more than 10 years that we've used this system including with the newer filters. The reason for the 2 stars is due to the unfortunate problem that began ever since the improved filters hit the market. Very, very, slow running filters. We have a large Brita and a smaller Brita. After just a few uses these new Brita filters clog up and run really slow. Filling the top section of the large Brita container can take as much as 4 hours to 1 1/2 days to empty into the lower chamber even on a brand new filter. What's really odd, is that it varies from one day to the next. The only way around this is to keep the bottom section of the container nearly empty and the top section full which creates extra pressure for water to flow. I see that there are many varied complaints about these filters but I have confirmed that the 6 pack that I always order, clearly states Brita / Made in Canada / and the white wrappers covering the filters have the correct printed instructions and Brita name. I don't think these are knock off filters as others have eluded. I hope Brita can ultimately fix their filters. If and when they do I'll amend this review, hopefully with more stars.
