I loved everything about this cooler and the possibility of traveling without have to freeze ice every night. The main problem comes in actually using it. You must unplug the adapter from your power source every time you start the car or you will damage electronics in the cooler. This means every time you get out to look at roadside markers or views, stop at a rest area, get gas or any number of quick stops you are bound to make when traveling, you must unplug the cord. I never knew we made so many quick stops until I tested this out on a recent trip. I know I am bound to forget to unplug this one of those times, and then our food is ruined for the rest of the trip. I can't believe a product such as this, designed to plug into a car, would not have the electronics built into it to allow it to be plugged in while the car is started. I'm going back to a cooler with ice in it. At least I can set it and forget it.
