Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Purchased this blu-ray thinking that I would finally be able to watch one of my favorite movies (and the best western ever made) in the highest quality resolution available, only to discover that the video quality is absolutely and utterly terrible. Most of the reviews listed are mixed between the Amazon Video version and the DVD version, both of which provide decent picture quality for the media format that they are, but I was expecting much better from the blu ray version and was sorely disappointed. To be more specific: many of the colors and contrasts in nearly every scene seem visibly worse than they were in the dvd version of the film. I had to alter all the settings on my 4k tv to have things appear tolerable and I was barely able to make it through the film. Just prepare yourself for a sub-par quality if you do decide to buy this version. I'll be crossing my fingers that they someday release a remastered version of this in 4k. I honestly don't know who edited this version but they should be fired ten times over.
