Gave these a try after my last Sharpies were wearing out. The ink was not as dark as the older, worn out Sharpies, and the tips dulled much more quickly. I had to shuffle around the items I had marked and saw that the Sharpie marks were still there, but the AmazonBasics marker wore off only with the slightest amount of friction. Had a real surprise on a humid (not wet) day when I was writing on plastic tags, then watched the marks fade and almost disappear within a few seconds. Not a good choice if you want your items to stay marked
